A Revelation

I been listening to Joyce Meyer on my way to work and she was talking about listening to God when he tells you something. Well,  what happened was my weekly health call lady sent me some information and I didn't even bother opening them for days.  Disgusted with myself I guess.   But then I had a nagging voice in my head today- open it - how are you going to help yourself if you don't.

Most of the stuff she sends is good - but this - was great.

Entitled - How your Beliefs can Sabotage your Behavior (and what you can do about it) - What - timely right?

There is the article if you want to read it - the beginning part is the most important to me.

If you believe things about yourself like...
  • “It’s hard for me to lose weight.”
  • “I’m not good with numbers.”
  • “I’m not a natural athlete.”
  • “I’m not creative.”
  • “I’m a procrastinator.”
It’s pretty clear that those fixed mindsets will cause you to avoid experiences where you might feel like a failure. As a result, you don’t learn as much and it’s hard to get better.
What can you do about this? How can you change the things you believe about yourself, eliminate your fixed mindset, and actually achieve your goals?
So - tell me - what?
In my experience, the only way I know to change the type of person that you believe that you are — to build a new and better identity for yourself — is to do so with small, repeated actions.
So what do I do - how do I do small repeated actions to help me with weight loss.
1) Honestly track my calories - honestly being the key word - right it down or use the myfitnesspal app.
2) Drink my water
This is how I shall start
